Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Gmail Filter Manager (the “Extension”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the Extension.

Description of Service

Gmail Filter Manager is a free, open-source Chrome extension that lets you select emails directly in your Gmail inbox and create Gmail filters — mark as read, archive, delete, or label — in one click. The Extension is provided “as is” for personal and organizational productivity use.

Google Account & API Access

The Extension uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE to connect to your Google account and communicates exclusively with the Gmail API to read message metadata and create or modify filters on your behalf. Your use of the Extension is also subject to Google's own Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Details on exactly what data the Extension accesses and how it's handled are in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Extension only for its intended purpose and not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or misuse the Extension in a way that violates Google's or Chrome Web Store's policies
• Use the Extension to create filters that facilitate spam, harassment, or unlawful activity
• Attempt to circumvent Gmail's API rate limits or usage quotas
• Use the Extension in a manner that could disable, overburden, or impair Google's services

Open Source & License

Gmail Filter Manager is licensed under the MIT License. The complete source code is available on GitHub. You are free to use, copy, modify, and distribute the software in accordance with the MIT License terms included in the repository.

No Warranty

The Extension is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every Gmail account configuration.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developers of Gmail Filter Manager shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including loss of data, missed emails, or unintended filter actions — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Extension. You are responsible for reviewing filters before applying them, particularly actions like delete that affect existing emails.

Changes to the Extension or Terms

We may update the Extension or these Terms at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it from Chrome, which also removes all locally stored data. We reserve the right to discontinue the Extension or any of its features at our discretion.
